Monday - What is dialect? Begin reading Act I Scene I. Students will be given reading comprehension questions for the entire play. As we go along, the students will fill in the answers for each particular scene of the play. Assign parts and have students read aloud. Students will answer questions as we read.
Tuesday - DO NOW: Which character have you connected most with thus far? Finish reading Act I Scene I and let the students work in groups to answer and discuss questions. Class discussion on Act I Scene I. Distribute vocabulary words and let students begin working with the words.
Wednesday/Thursday - DO NOW: Who needs the money most? Fill out reasons/motivations worksheet. Share out. Read Act I Scene II and start questions.
Friday - Finish Act I Scene II. Prepare for quiz on Monday. Watch movie.
